Overview

Position Summary: The Registered Nurse is under general supervision, conducts patient assessments, participates in the development of the plan of care, implements and evaluates care according to patient specific age and/or developmental needs. Collaborates with other health care team members in the delivery of care. Employee will follow applicable policies and procedures in handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment.

Collect blood and blood components at the Blood Donor Center and at mobile drive. Conduct record review, review donor reaction records, and help with overseeing donor center/mobile operations.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 1+ year experience as an RN. Broad knowledge of blood donor care principles and equipment. Ability to assess effectiveness of blood donor care; maintain a calm demeanor and assist in crises and emergencies; prioritize tasks for complex blood donor care; communicate tactfully, professionally and effectively, verbally and in writing.

Education/Licensure/Certification: BSN required. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of California and current American Heart Association CPR and PALS certification required.

Pay Scale Information

$71.70-$71.70

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
